After winning a Little Hawkeye Conference title in 2019-20 with only one senior on the squad, the Indianola girls basketball team plans on using the offseason to continue to improve heading into head coach Jeff Janssen’s third year with the program. Janssen tells KNIA Sports the squad has to take it to the next level to compete at the end of the season.
“I want to really work on the competition. How do we compete at the high level. How do we defend like Centennial, or like Urbandale, or like DCG does. And then how do we score, because that was a big concern against quality defensive teams of how do we put the basketball in the hoop. That’s what we will concentrate on.”
The Indians improved to 16-7 this year, after going 9-11 last season.
