A former PCM standout will be inducted into the Iowa High School Athletic Association Basketball Hall of Fame.
Known better as an All-Big Ten tight end for Iowa football and later an eight-year NFL career, Brandon Myers was a four-year starter and four-time state basketball tournament qualifier. He led the team to an undefeated season and 2A state title in 2004. Myers graduated with 2,198 career points and 857 rebounds and three all-state selections.
Myers played college football at Iowa, where he totaled 56 receptions for 665 yards and 9 touchdowns in four years and a first-team All-Big Ten honoree in his senior season.
He is among 13 selections to be honored on Friday, March 13 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. The players will be inducted at halftime of the Class 3A championship game.
