The City of Indianola continues to prepare their budget for the next fiscal year, with the public hearing on the budget coming later this month. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the council meeting will be held at a different date and time than normal, due to spring break.
“The public can come and make their voices heard to the council and the council will vote after the public hearing, and that meeting is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, March 25th that was rescheduled from the spring break week of March 16th. It will be at 6pm at City Hall, but on Wednesday, March 25th.”
Waller also said the city uses public feedback on items such as the comprehensive plan survey and input at public hearings to help shape the budget, so the more participation from residents the better.
