The Pleasantville boys basketball team had nearly the textbook definition of an up-and-down season. The Trojans had a promising start to the season, but could not find consistency once the calendar flipped to 2020. In fact, after losing the first two games of January, the Trojans alternated wins and losses in the final 15 games of the season. Head Coach Joel Allman says that speaks to the quality of teams they were playing, and it came down to how the games were scheduled.
“Every other game, we were playing someone that was very good, we were playing a top five team in our conference. So that was kind of a contributing factor to me, a contributing factor to why we just couldn’t get a streak going. It’s just the way our schedule lined up, who we played.”
Pleasantville finished the season 11-11 overall and 8-8 in the West Central Conference. Five seniors have departed the program.
