With the US Census taking place this month, the City of Indianola and other community partners including Simpson College, the Indianola Chamber of Commerce, and the Indianola School District want to stress the importance of participating in the census count. Community and Economic Development Director Charlie Dissell tells KNIA News the census has a far reaching impact on the community, it affects businesses, city planning, school district planning, and overall enthusiasm if we can call the area a growing community, so participation is important.
