After graduating their three leading scorers and all-conference players in Conor Riordan, Kyle Wagner, and Adam Reiter, the Simpson Storm men’s basketball team will have a new look for next season and some new players to lean on. Head coach Brad Bjorkgren tells KNIA Sports one of the benefits of his team having injuries and trying out new players constantly was the experience the youngers guys have going into the season.

“Some of them were starters, some of them were playing with two minutes to go in the game and the score being tied. They’ve all had that opportunity, so it’s kind of exciting that they’ve all been there and it won’t be new for them next year. That is one of the pluses from trying to find the correct lineup this past year, a lot of guys got opportunities. We think we have a great freshman, sophomore, and junior class, and we’ve got a great group of five commits right now and we are still looking for others, so I feel really good where we are at.”

The Storm went 14-13 and graduated six seniors overall.
