Simpson College will extend their spring break to deal with the global Coronavirus outbreak, among other safety precautions. Simpson College will remain open but will extend spring break through Sunday, March 29, and the administration recommends that students make preparations to be off-campus for at least two weeks. A final decision on semester course delivery will take place on March 23rd, and that week will serve as a planning week for faculty to continue their efforts to adapt to online learning and course redesign. Simpson College IT staff will continue to work with faculty to help transition to online learning. During this period, Simpson College will cancel all campus events involving more than 50 individuals, and are asking faculty and staff to postpone all outside meetings.
The American Rivers Conference will be meeting tomorrow (Friday) to explore options related to athletics. More information will be released as it becomes available.
