After a successful vote on March 3rd for a new middle school and the unveiling of a new Knoxville Panther Logo at the most recent Knoxville School Board meeting, the Knoxville School District and the community are making changes to make Knoxville more appealing to potential new families. Knoxville Schools Superintendent Cassi Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS News she is amazed at how the community came together and understood the importance of much needed improvements, especially with the acquisition of the VA District and knowing eventually more homes will be built. She says when people make their decision to move to a new community they want to know where their children are going to go to school and that they are going to a 21st century learning environment. Pearson says with all the upcoming improvements and changes, not just to the district but the entire community of Knoxville, more people will want to make Knoxville their home. She says because of the school district, the Chamber of Commerce, local businesses and all the proactive changes the city and county are doing, she is confident people will be attracted to our community and enroll their children into the district.
