knia-coronavirus-featured

In response to CDC guidelines, we wish to prevent the spread of coronavirus, as the population we serve is often the most vulnerable of groups. We understand that grief involves the family, but also diverse members of the community. We seek ways to honor both the grieving family and the grieving public while limiting contact time as much as possible.

We recommend the following:

Funerals (Private Family)

  1. Funeral attendance will be permitted to family members only, no more than 50 persons.
  2. We recognize that Churches are very special, sacred places to a family. However, we prefer that funerals be held at the funeral home in order to limit exposure to volunteers (Audio/Visual/Custodial/Social Committee).
  3. Funeral luncheons will not be held.

Visitations (Public)

  1. Visitations will be a public event, but the family will not be present to greet visitors. Signs will be posted asking attendees to limit interactions and no physical contact.

We will suspend delivery of funeral notice cards to businesses, indefinitely. This will help prevent the spread of contamination. You may sign up for obituary notification of funerals on our websites.

We appreciate your trust you place in us. We will continue to monitor the situation, and work to keep our staff and families safe while providing services to our community. Thank you for your understanding.
