Between 1-2” of rain is in the forecast by Thursday night, with showers expected today and the possibility of strong storms on Thursday, especially in the afternoon and evening as a strong cold front passes through. A slight risk of severe weather is in the forecast during that time Thursday, meaning isolated severe thunderstorms producing strong winds, heavy rain, and hail remain possible. Cold temperatures and blustery winds are anticipated Friday into Friday night. Wind chills in the single digits to the teens and 20s are likely in central to southeast portions of the state. A gradual warming trend is expected over the weekend and into early next week. Mainly 30s to around 40 for highs on Saturday, then 40s on Sunday, and by Monday look for high temperatures in the 50s.
