The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch until 11 p.m. across most of south central Iowa.

Conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing large hail, damaging winds in excess of 60 MPH, and tornadoes. These storms will likely be fast moving and develop quickly.

KNIA/KRLS is on the air with live severe weather action team coverage for any severe thunderstorm or tornado warning for any portion of Marion and Warren Counties, with backup generators ensuring the coverage stays on if the power goes out.
