The Knoxville Community School District began providing free meals to all students Monday. The district prepared over 500 meals including breakfast and lunch and handed them out in the Knoxville High School parking lot as parents and students drove up to receive a meal. Drivers were guided through four lanes to expedite the process while school employees wore protective equipment such as face masks to keep them safe from COVID-19. The meals will be handed out throughout the duration of the closure and will be extended if school remains closed.
