With the Simpson baseball team trying to rebuild with young talent after several down years, one of the strategies for head coach Nathan Roling has been to recruit local talent. Indianola pitcher Brady Held had his freshman season last year and proved to be one of the top pitchers on the squad, and coach Roling went back to the well for more Indians players, as freshman debuting this season for the Storm from Indianola included pitcher Dallas Jackson and infielder Grady Haynes. The Storm got off to a 3-4 start this season before it was canceled.
