Pella Christian Grade School and High School have released details related to the school’s response to COVID-19. Learning packets for Pella Christian Grade School students in grade K-5 can be picked up on Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. or Saturday morning from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m at the main entrance to the building. The building will be sealed off and all packets will be in the breezeway and clearly labeled by grade level and class. Disinfectant wipes will be available at the entrance. Families can also choose to download the learning packets and print them from home. The download will be made available on each classroom’s learning plan, which will be shared on Friday. Pella Christian schools will be loaning devices to families who need additional devices and are working with Stravers Cellular to activate and distribute hot spots to families who are in need of internet access. Stravers Cellular is looking for donations of used, working U.S. Cellular smartphones that Stavers Cellular can reprogram and provide to PCGS families and staff in need right now. Drop used devices off at Stravers U.S. Cellular at 826 Main Street in Pella. Current hours are 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
