The Indianola Community School District has been advised by the Iowa Department of Education, Bureau of Food and Nutrition, that students must be physically present to receive grab-and-go meals. The district has reached out to the Governor’s Office to receive further guidance on the recommendation from Governor Reynold’s on March 23 that families “send just one family member out for errands.” Until further guidance is received, the district is unable to provide lunches to parents whose children are not with them.
