A pair of Indianola players earned All-KNIA/KRLS recognition this season for their efforts in leading the Indians to a co-Little Hawkeye Conference championship.
AJ Toigo was a 3rd-team Class 4A All-State honoree, and led the Indians in scoring with 17.7 points per game, was fourth in the state in assists and first in class 4A with 174, and tallied a Little Hawkeye-best 76 steals in 2019-20. Toigo was a unanimous All-Little Hawkeye Conference pick as well.
Indians’ teammate Tyce Johnson also found a spot on the first-team. Johnson was also a unanimous conference 1st team selection, Johnson made 76 three-point shots this past season, which was the 3rd most in Class 4A and in the Little Hawkeye Conference, and shot from long range at a 41.5 percent clip.
