There are a lot of question marks around the Knoxville Girls Track and Field Squad’s field events this spring. If the season gets underway after April 13th, Coach Brad McWilliams will have a thin crop to choose from. He tells KRLS Sports as of right now he has no jumpers and will need to develop some. In the throwing events a couple of girls are already showing promise.

McWilliams:
“Another freshman Ashlyn Finarty has looked good in the shot put and discus and Quinn Montalvo looked pretty decent in the shot put and hopefully we can score some points in those events this season.”

Montalvo was the leader for the Panthers in both shot put and discus last season and returns as the number one thrower.
