What was a hopeful spring sports season at Knoxville High School is now in a holding pattern for all Panther teams. No practices, contests, games or any school sponsored sports are allowed until at least April 13th. Activities Director Ryan Paulsen is also in a tough position, because he cannot reschedule events that have already or will be called off due to the shut down. Paulsen tells KRLS Sports everyone just needs to heed all the recommendations from the experts and hopefully we will be back to normal sooner rather than later.

Paulsen:
“The things that we’re doing as a society is going to help and hopefully someday we can go back to school and start playing sports and having activities and people can go about their normal lives, but until that happens we need to abide by the medical leaders and medical experts.”

Paulsen has not had much contact with coaches or players since the shut down, but he knows they are all disappointed and hopes they too are following recommendations set forth.
