As an athletic director locally and around the state it has been a trying time. Boys and girls unions have shut down all spring sports practices and competitions until at least April 13th. Twin Cedars Athletic Director Trent Verwers tells KRLS Sports nothing in his schooling or his first two years at Twin Cedars AD has prepared him for this scenario.
Verwers:
“Even coming as a second year person right out of college you know no one has had to deal with something like this. I’m watching the news more than I ever have before just to see if there’s any new information going on. The boys and girls associations have been keeping us informed and doing a great job of helping us out.”
Verwers adds his hands are tied with rescheduling because of all the unknowns that are around. The state associations will make a decision so as to start spring sports later on.
