One week after starting to provide lunches to Indianola students, the Indianola Community School District has seen an increase daily in the number of lunches provided. The district provided 127 meals starting last Monday, eventually reaching over 200 meals provided average per day at the end of last week, growing to 251 meals served Monday. The lunches are provided at Emerson and Whittier Elementary from 11:30am-12:30pm, Laura Ingalls Wilder Elementary from 11:30am-1:00pm, and Weinman Insurance (311 E 2nd Ave) from 11:30 to 12:30, with the bus located in the Northeast corner of the parking lot. One meal per child will be distributed from school busses parked in designated areas, and are not intended to be consumed on-site.
