One of the challenges of online learning is that not all students have access to the internet or necessary technology.
A local business is trying to change that, as Straver’s Cellular in Pella is partnering with Pella and Pella Christian Schools to deliver wifi hotspots to ensure all students can have access to remote lessons.
Pella Superintendent Greg Ebeling and Pella Christian Principal Dan Van Kooten say anyone with a US Cellular phone that they no longer use can donate the device to Stravers, who can then convert then into a mobile hotspots and give them to families that need them during school closures related to COVID-19.
