After learning his team will not playing rival Melcher-Dallas for the first time since 1997 in football, Twin Cedars Coach Cam Parker decided the nine teams on the schedule will get his undivided attention. While many of the teams are first time opponents for the Sabers like Winfield-Mt. Union and Lone Tree, Parker tells KRLS Sports those two hour trips could have been a 30 minute trip.

Parker:
“Winfield-Mt. Union, Lone Tree, those are two hour trips for us and we have to go that way. Montezuma isn’t too far but they will be a tough team. We had two hour bus trips the last cycle with AGWSR and Gladbrook-Reinbeck. I don’t know how the state does what they do but it’s a funny thing.”

The last cycle had the Sabers going to AGWSR and Gladbrook-Reinbeck, two of the better teams in eight-man the last two seasons.
