They cannot meet due to the state mandated shut down of spring sports until at least May first, but the Knoxville Boys Soccer coaching staff is looking for new leaders after graduating an outstanding crop last season in their state tournament run. Coach Dylan Mick tells KRLS Sports he thinks there are several players that can grab the responsibility of leadership and help the Panthers to another run at the state tournament.

Mick:
“That run up to state the biggest strength was our leadership from Elliott, Cristian, Spencer, and Joey. Those guys what they did on the field we can replace it, but the force of personalities and how they were as leaders is what we are looking for in the preseason.”

Mick adds this year’s class of seniors is not so much vocal as they are lead by example leaders. The Panthers, as with all of the other soccer squads in Iowa are awaiting the go ahead to start practice and competition.
