So far this sports season at Melcher-Dallas has been fairly successful. This past fall the volleyball squad posted its first winning season since 2013 and won its division of the Bluegrass Conference. The football squad progressed during the season after early season struggles. Athletic Director Jim Crozier tells KNIA Sports the fall was a successful season and is hopeful for more success this fall.

Crozier:
“They had some struggles and progressed all season long and that’s what you’re looking for especially in a team that was fairly young. Our volleyball team did a great job winning our side of the conference. Struggled a bit in the conference tournament, but still had a great season overall.”

Crozier adds the basketball programs showed great strides this season especially the girls tripling their win total from the previous season. Crozier is excited about the prospects for next winter as both teams have a strong senior class coming back.
