Melcher-Dallas participated in a statewide event on Friday in solidarity with schools being out during the COVID-19 pandemic by turning the lights on athletic facilities. The idea was put forth by the Iowa High School Athletic Directors Association. The lights will be left on each Friday starting at 8:00pm one minute for every day of school lost.
