The city of Pleasantville announced this week that crews would be starting work on portions of  Jasper Street which will close portions of the roadway. Pleasantville City Manager Joe Mrstik tells KNIA/KRLS News the portion of Jasper Street that will be affected stretches from Breckenridge to Business Highway 5 as crews will be tearing up the roadway to install a water line. He says any residents along this area will need to park on the side streets until new pavement is installed. According to Mrstik, there is a substantial amount of work that needs to be done in this area so the roadway will not reopen for several weeks.
