The City of Indianola is still providing construction permits and performing inspections on home projects, and Community and Economic Development Director Charlie Dissell tells KNIA News despite the shutdown there is an uptick in permit requests. Dissell the city administration building is closed, and procedures have changed on the request process.
“While we may not be accepting applications in the normal way over the counter, we are going through the mail, by phone, or email whatever works best. We are still performing inspections on projects, however we are asking for 24 hours notice for inspections during this time so our inspector can get things scheduled and use his time wisely when he is out in the public.”
