Knoxville Hospital & Clinics (KHC) is partnering with the area’s nursing care centers to protect the community’s most vulnerable, thanks to the hospital’s Mobile Express Care virtual visit service. Mobile Express Care allows patients to visit with their primary care physician from their home, office, or anywhere in the world using a mobile device, tablet or laptop.

According to KHC’s Dr. Cynthia Hoque, the service has been a convenient way to check in on older residents while practicing social distancing guidelines. Patients can be assured that their visits are confidential and secure. The entire Mobile Express Care service is secure, with multiple layers of security built into the system. Providers hold their conversations with patients in a room with the door closed to ensure privacy.

Patients must install the Zoom app on their device to participate in the virtual visit.

Schedulers are online to assist patients from 7:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. weekdays and from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday. Requests for appointments that are submitted after 7 p.m. during the weekday or after 2 p.m. on Saturday will be reviewed the following weekday business day.
