A venture to help support local businesses and give back to emergency personnel and essential workers is continuing to grow, with the Feed It Forward Indianola initiative. Founder Scott Duncan tells KNIA News Feed It Forward purchases gift cards from local restaurants, and the gift cards are then donated to emergency and essential employees. Duncan also said Feed It Forward has continued to grow, but that doesn’t surprise him because of the community we live in.

“When I learned about this, I instantly thought Indianola can do this. Indianola is a great community of giving and loving people,and I knew if I started this it would take off. My original goal was $2,000 because I was thinking a lot smaller, and we surpassed that in four days, then we went to $5,000 and passed that. These Indianolians are just amazing and willing to help out.”
