Many seasons and careers came to an end with the cancellation of spring sports a couple of weeks ago. For the Knoxville Girls Track and Field Program, eight careers came to an early finish. Coach Brad McWilliams tells KRLS Sports while the girls were and likely still are disappointed about losing their final season, he says they are resilient and will bounce back and have a lot to look forward to moving into the future.

McWilliams:
“I think they’re trying to make the best of the situation, they’re just going to move on their good kids and good students and they’ll get by and it’s just a little bump in the road.”

The eight seniors were Katie Keitges, Abbey Jackson, Charlie Vermeer, Raeghan Breazeale, Clair Fay, Lauren Micetich, Mira Wilson, and Emma Goemaat. Listen starting Monday for daily senior spotlights on many of our local athletes on 92.1 KRLS.
