In an effort to keep the residents of Knoxville and Marion County safe, The City of Knoxville offices, including City Hall, Police Department, Fire Station and Public Works will continue to be closed until further notice. Although the facilities are closed, departments and staff are still available and ready to offer assistance and service.

City staff will continue to monitor the situation and will reopen facilities at a time that is right for the community. Until that time, the safety and well-being of our community continues to be the city’s top priority.

City Hall
Visit our website for department contact information and online services.  If you are unable to find what you need on the website, you can call 641-828-0550 from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday’s.

Public Meetings
Public meetings will be facilitated by conference call.  Please watch our website for future meeting information.

 

Library
The Knoxville Public Library has begun curbside material pickup service.

Parks and Recreation Department
The Recreation Center will remain closed until further notice. These facilities/areas are closed through at least May 15: 

  • Skate Park, Basketball Courts (Recreation Center and Auld)
  • Tennis Courts
  • Playgrounds/ Playground Equipment (East Elementary, Auld Park, Young’s Park, Recreation Center) 
  • Shelters (and Shelter Rentals)
  • Ball Fields ( and Ball Field Rentals)
  • Restrooms and Drinking Fountains (Auld and Young’s, Dog Park) 
  • Dog Park. 

Green space and Competine Trail remain open at this time. Registration for future programs is put on hold. Lifeguard Course for May 8-10 will be rescheduled and the May 28-31 Lifeguard Course and May Swimming Lessons are canceled.
