With many businesses throughout Iowa reopening today and in the near future following Governor Kim Reynolds recent proclamation, Marion County representatives will hold an informative press conference today to update residents on the current COVID-19 situation. The press conference will begin at 1 p.m. and will be aired live on 95.3 KNIA and 92.1 KRLS and re-aired at 6 p.m. County representatives and local leaders will update residents on how the reopening will go and ways to continue to stay safe. According to the Iowa Department of Public Health, as of Thursday the state has confirmed 7,145 positive cases of COVID-19 which has resulted in 162 deaths. In Marion County 8 total cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed, of which one is currently still active, and in the other seven cases the people infected have recovered, with no deaths.
