Fareway Stores, Inc. recently announced a $200,000 donation to the Iowa Chamber of Commerce Executives (ICCE). The donation provided for $1,000 or more in gift cards to ICCE chamber of commerce members in the communities Fareway serves including Knoxville, Pella and Indianola.

ICCE distributed the Fareway gift cards to its chamber of commerce members. The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce and the Indianola Chamber of Commerce each received $2,000 in gift cards with the Pella Area Community & Economic (PACE) Alliance receiving $3,000 in gift cards. The cards were distributed to local small businesses and their employees who have been greatly impacted by COVID-19. The PACE Alliance distributed gift cards to eighteen local businesses that qualified and the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce distributed the gift cards to brick & mortar hair salons, and each hairstylist received a $50 gift card. In addition to distributing the gift cards, the PACE Alliance and Knoxville Chamber of Commerce both created videos thanking Fareway for the donation while the Indianola Chamber of Commerce posted pictures of all the recipients.
