One squad that felt the pain of losing the spring sports season this year was the Knoxville Boys Soccer Squad. The Panthers had 14 seniors on the team and most had playing experience either as a starter or a reserve that played a lot of minutes from last season’s State Tournament appearance. One of the seniors on this year’s squad was Caleb Lee, who as the backup goalie got minutes there and other positions. He tells KRLS Sports with all the experience coming back and the depth on the team, he was excited to see what the 2020 version of the Panthers could have done.
Lee:
“It was going to be a very easy transition, I think the first couple of games there would have been some jitters, but after that I think we would have dominated pretty well.”
The Panthers went 14-5 last season and made the State Tournament for the second time in program history. Lee adds the schedule was going to be a bit tougher but was confident they could win several matches.
