Boaters should be advised that outflows will be reduced at the Red Rock Dam at certain times this week. On Tuesday through Thursday from 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., outflows from the Lake Red Rock Dam will be completely reduced from 5,000 cubic feet per second to zero cfs to accommodate for construction activities at the Red Rock Hydropower Project site. During the reduced outflow times, river levels will fluctuate and boat ramps will become unusable. Signs will be posted at impacted Corps-managed ramps to inform users of the reduced flow times. Normal levels will resume after 5 p.m. each day and remain until the following day’s closure.
