The City of Indianola continues to stay above the state and national average for census participation, sitting at 68%. City of Indianola Community and Economic Development Director Charlie Dissell tells KNIA News you can respond to the census in several different ways to make it as easy as possible including through mail or online, and census workers will be going around the community if there is not a response. Iowa as a whole currently is at a 64.8% response rate, well above the national average of 57.3%.
