A local high school student-athlete is taking his golf talents to the next level. Isaac Roe of Pleasantville is heading to Simpson College this fall to join the men’s golf program. Roe says that he’s looking forward to the freedoms of college and having two seasons per school year to play golf competitively.

“I’m really just looking forward to the whole college experience. I think I’ll really enjoy it all, the freedoms that come with it, how I’ll have to keep myself accountable for all the things I do and everything that I choose to do. And I’m also looking forward to two seasons of golf each year. That is just going to be a blast for me because I’ll be putting a lot of time towards it.”

Roe will be joining a program with a lot of turnover next season, as over half of the roster is currently seniors. A complete interview with Isaac Roe will air on tonight’s Radio Sports Page at 6:00 p.m. on KNIA/KRLS.
