It was an event that used to feature a bike ride across the entire state in one day, and shifted to a 24-hour stationary bike event on the Tulip Toren, and this year, it’s moving online.
Josh Cowman with Bethany Christian Services says the Annual Tour De Toren will be held online from Friday, May 15, at 5:00 p.m., through Saturday, May 16, at 5:00 p.m. Participants are encouraged to ride a bike, run a route, and sponsor someone during the virtual fundraiser supporting the following programs with Bethany Christian Services of South Central Iowa:

• Stronger Beginnings helps expectant parents with basic needs and support, whether they make an adoption plan or decide to parent. When basic needs are met, pregnancies are less stressful, which leads to healthier outcomes for expectant moms and babies.

• Storyline Project that supports children and families with mentor services for kids and child development programming.

• Bethany’s Start Small Project is a family preservation program benefiting local refugee and immigrant families with diapers, formula, and other needs.
