A Melcher-Dallas man was arrested on multiple drug related charges after a search of his home uncovered over 175 grams of marjiuana. According to court documents, on May 7th, officers with the Mid Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Drug task force conducted a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of SE 1st Street in Melcher. At the time of the search, officers located the homeowner, 57-year-old Martin Lutz inside the home as well as green plant-like substance, packaging material and a digital scale. The green plan material field tested positive for marijuana and weighed approximately 175 grams. Lutz told officers the marijuana belonged to him. Lutz was arrested and charged with a controlled substance violation, a class D felony as well as failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a class D felony.
