The Indianola Traffic Signal Project is scheduled to begin construction next Monday, June 8th, which will close a portion of Iowa Ave from 1st Street to Jefferson Way for pavement replacement. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the Traffic Signal Project will improve traffic flow on Highway 65/69 and Highway 92 to reduce delays, as well as help the area environmentally by reducing emissions from idling at red lights. The city asks that commuters plan for some traffic delays due to road closures, and be aware of construction workers during the duration. The project is expected to be completed by July 17th.
