Practice has officially begun for the summer sports season, and the Indianola girls and boys of summer are going in with high expectations and in good shape. Head softball coach Stacy Evans tells KNIA News over the last several weeks, excitement for the start of the season has grown, and a lot of credit goes to her coaching staff for helping the athletes stay in shape.
“In the last week and a half there has been a big push. I’ve seen a lot more interaction of athletes sending me what they did that day, this is my pitch count up to this point, I really feel like they have been doing something and now have actually stepped it up a gear knowing that coach wants us healthy, coach wants us ready, and it’s on us. That comes from my entire coaching staff.”
The first game will be played on Monday, June 15th.
