The Melcher-Dallas Baseball Squad lost two outstanding players from last year. Dalton Lovell, who batted 527 with 39 hits and five home runs and Blaise Cooper who hit 262 with 21 hits and 23 RBI. Coach Pat Ferguson says that was tough losing those two, but the younger guys who remain are ready to get after it.
Ferguson:
“Everyone knows what Dalton did last year, and Blaise came on last year, so losing those two with pop will hurt, but the younger guys in the lineup all they can do is improve.”
The Saints start off with Lamoni on June 16th.
