Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has loosened restrictions on Iowa businesses, and State Senator Julian Garrett tells KNIA News he believes she is moving at the right pace to keep Iowans safe while still allowing people to get back to work. Garret said it will be a lot of work to get Iowa’s economy back to where it was.

“We’ve got to reopen Iowa as safely and responsibly as we can, and I know that is what the Governor is trying to do and I’m basically supporting what she is doing. I think things will be picking up here, and Iowans want to go back to work I believe. We are looking forward to getting the economy moving again. Before all of this happened Iowa had a tremendous economy with record low unemployment and we were growing substantially. So we need to get back on track for those kinds of benefits.”
