The Little Hawkeye Conference has released guidance for the return to summer competition starting this Monday.
According to a release issued by conference athletics and activities directors, all games will have free will donations available at the gate, but admission fees are not required. Donations will directly benefit the baseball and softball programs competing.
No concessions will be allowed, but coolers are welcome but subject to search and must be school appropriate, with a limit of one per household.
Restroom facilities will be available and sanitized after each evening of competition. Masks are recommended, but not required, and spectators are encouraged to bring their own sanitizer. There will be no capacity limits at each school, but bleachers will be limited and marked off, and fans are asked to bring their own lawn chairs.
All fans showing symptoms or who have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 should stay home.
Each school is designating an official radio or video stream — Pella, Pella Chrisitan, and Indianola games remain the voices of those schools, and regular season and postseason games will be aired on 92.1 KRLS, 94.3 KNIA, or on kniakrls.com and the free KNIA and KRLS mobile apps. A full schedule for each of those schools and teams can be found under the live Radio Sports Guide, and updates from other games will be given during each broadcast to provide as many scores as possible.
