It may be hard to break into the starting line up on the Twin Cedars Softball Squad this summer. The young Sabers will have a lot of talent on the field and the only place where there is any competition for a starting spot is second base. Coach Zack Dunkin tells KRLS Sports while it is likely that none of the returning players will be unseated at their positions he does not rule out other players in the dugout to battle for positions.

Dunkin:
“I’m not sure how much change you’re going to see with those starters. It’s tough to unseat them, they haven’t done anything yet to lose those positions in practice. There may be eighth graders looking to make an impact for playing time.”

The Sabers opening day game will be next Tuesday at home against Murray.
