A week after reopening following a more than two month long closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Director of the Knoxville Public Library, Roslin Thompson says people are slowly starting to come back to the library and utilize the library’s services in person. She says things look a little different in the library as the library has installed sneeze guards at various locations to protect library staff and patrons. She says all staff members are wearing masks and the library encourages anyone visiting the library to also use a mask. Thompson says all computers and meeting rooms are at 50 percent capacity as well and are by appointment only with time limits set up as well. She says the library will continue to take precautions to do what they can to keep people safe.
According to Thompson, the library will continue to only be open on Monday’s, Tuesday’s Wednesday’s and Friday’s from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday’s fromsfrom 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
