The Indianola baseball team will get a taste of the state tournament venue earlier in the season than the ultimate goal, as they face off against Gilbert at Principal Park later this month. Head baseball coach Casey Aldridge tells KNIA Sports the Indians goals will be to play more games at Principal Park before all is said and done.
“We’re gonna try to have the best record in the conference, and from there go into the postseason playing our best baseball. We know the talent we have coming back and that doesn’t mean we can’t work harder. They’ve been putting in the time, and the goals are the same as they’ve always been, playing in the state tournament when the season is over.”
The Indians will take on the Tigers on June 25th at 7pm, and the game will be broadcast live on 94.3 KNIA.
