Helping Hands in Knoxville has reopened to regular business hours following their closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Chuck Galeazzi with Helping Hands tells KNIA/KRLS News Helping Hands decided to reopen now due to a large stockpile of donations that he says needs to get to the people in need. He says Helping Hands will be open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Despite the reopening, Galeazzi says they will still not be taking donations at this time until they get through the stockpile of donations on hand. He says masks need to be worn by everyone when entering the building and to continue to social distance to help keep everyone safe.
