The Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad will get the season going Tuesday at Lamoni. The Saints are looking for a great season but are also looking to replace two very productive players from last season who graduated last summer. Pitcher Emilie Krpan and Gracie Mann both left holes in the line up. Coach Jim Crozier tells KNIA Sports while he is looking for two girls to put in those open spots, he and the rest of the squad are happy to be back at the field.

Crozier:
“For those kids who get to play again this summer, and get to play softball, they’re excited, I’m excited to be there and we’re going to have a great season.”

Crozier says Freshman BrieAnna Remster and Kacey Enfield are vying for time in the circle this season. Both had very limited innings of work in 2019 as Krpan took the bulk of the pitching last year.
