If the Pella Christian softball team is going to make a deep playoff run in July, they’ll need one key senior to take another step of improvement both in the circle and at the plate.

Coming into 2020, Cheyanne Collins is the No. 1 pitcher and the power bat in the Eagles lineup this summer, coming off of a junior campaign in which her 30 RBIs were 4th best in the deep Little Hawkeye Conference, and her 11 extra base hits were second only to current sophomore Natalie Harrill. She’s been working for some time to continue improving to lift the Eagles to Fort Dodge.

Collins says her biggest focus will be how she can improve on the mound, after racking up a team high 24 starts and 108 innings last year. Hear more from the seniors of the Pella Christian softball team with their interview featured here.
